Tell us about your role and day-to-day focus.
As Business Development Manager for PSBA, my role is focused on helping public sector organisations across Wales maximise the value they receive from the programme.
I work closely with customers, stakeholders and partners to understand their priorities, identify opportunities and ensure PSBA continues to support the evolving digital needs of the Welsh public sector.
No two days are the same but much of my time is spent engaging with organisations across healthcare, local government, education and emergency services, building strong relationships and helping them leverage PSBA to enable better outcomes for the communities they serve.
What does PSBA mean to you and what impact do you think it’s had across the Welsh public sector?
To me, PSBA is one of the most important digital assets supporting public services in Wales. It provides the secure, resilient connectivity that enables organisations to collaborate, innovate and deliver critical services every day.
The programme has transformed the way public sector organisations connect and work together, creating a trusted shared network that supports everything from frontline healthcare and education to local authorities and emergency services. The scale of its impact is often unseen, but it plays a vital role in helping organisations provide efficient, reliable services to the people of Wales.
Looking ahead, what are the key priorities for PSBA to continue to support public sector organisations across Wales?
Looking ahead, it’s important that PSBA continues to evolve alongside the needs of the Welsh public sector. Key priorities include supporting organisations with digital transformation, enabling secure adoption of cloud services, strengthening cyber resilience and ensuring the network remains flexible enough to support new technologies and ways of working.
Just as importantly, we need to continue listening to our customers and partners to ensure PSBA remains a collaborative programme that delivers real value and helps public sector organisations meet the challenges and opportunities of the future.
