With online safety under increasing public scrutiny, schools across Wales are facing pressure to ensure their digital safeguarding measures are effective. Proxies and VPNs remain a key challenge, masking internet traffic and enabling students to bypass web filters and access harmful content that has been blocked.
Modern proxy tools are often shared through private, invitation-only groups (frequently via Google Docs), making them very difficult to detect. They are free to set up and new versions appear as quickly as old versions are blocked.
