Case Study Spotlight

Borderbrook School

Fibre to the Premises connectivity increased speeds by up to 150 times. Teachers and pupils can now use online learning platforms and digital educational resources more effectively. The Challenge Borderbrook Primary School previously had a broadband connection of only 0.5 Mbps. The slow connection made it difficult for teachers to use online resources in lessons.

Previously, I couldn’t provide instant support out of hours with an internet speed of 4 Mbps… But now, these times have reduced significantly with the HomeWorker service, login times are now less than two minutes.

What this means in practice

Healthcare staff can securely access clinical systems whether they are working in hospitals, GP surgeries, community care settings or remotely.

Reliable connectivity supports digital healthcare services such as electronic patient records and communication between healthcare teams.
